All aerators were assembled on site under the supervision of our own assembly team. The sewage treatment plant is located in an open desert area where summer temperatures can exceed 50 °C. To protect the drive units from this extreme heat, they were fitted with a specially designed sunshade. The chain cleaner was installed at a crucial point in the local drainage system, where debris, branches and flotsam pose a risk to flow. By removing the debris automatically and continuously, the risk of blockages is greatly reduced. The chain cleaner works on the principle of a conveyor belt: the collected dirt is transported upwards from the bottom and discharged at the top to a collection platform. The gripper then returns empty. The system starts automatically when the water level on the inflow side rises compared to the outflow side. This level difference occurs when waste accumulates, causing a kind of dam effect. Once the accumulated material is removed and the water level normalises, the system automatically switches itself off again.
