Landustrie clarifiers
Reliable clarification for a stable wastewater treatment process
A sludge clarifier - also known as a clarifier bridge - is an integral part in both the pre-sedimentation and the post-sedimentation process in wastewater treatment.
In the preliminary sedimentation, the clarifier collects the primary sludge, which is created by settling coarse particles. The sludge removal unit discharges this sludge in a targeted manner, providing initial, partial thickening.
In secundary clarification the clarifier plays a crucial role in collecting and disposing of the activated sludge remaining after biological treatment. Thanks to efficient sludge disposal, the load on the system remains low and effluent quality is ensured.
Features
A sludge clarifier is used to remove the sediment along with the floating solids in the sludge tank.
The clarifier bridge can be equipped with a central or peripheral drive. The design is usually in stainless steel, combined with an aluminium upper water section.
As standard, the sludge clarifier consists of an inlet drum, obstacle/slip protection, bottom baffles and overflow weir, deflection plate and scum removal.
