Landustrie's central drive is designed for use in sludge clarifiers and sludge thickeners at wastewater treatment plants - both within the municipal market and in the process industry.

Each drive unit is fully matched to your installation. Whether it is a new construction project or the replacement of an existing drive unit: we provide a suitable solution. For renovations, we design units that replace the existing situation one-to-one and integrate perfectly into your current installation.

Our central drive systems are suitable for tanks up to 50 metres in diameter. In addition, we provide retrofit solutions for third-party installations,.

Features

Landustrie's central drive is the heart of a sludge clarifier or sludge thickener. The drive is mounted on the central column of the tank and provides the rotational force to set the raking mechanism in the basin in motion.

During rotation, settled solids (sludge) are directed from the tank bottom towards the central discharge point. The drive consists of a reduction motor, a robust gearwheel slewing ring and a pinion, which together ensure controlled and reliable movement.

The entire system is securely fixed to the column with anchor bolts. The gearing rotates in a closed oil bath with integrated bearings and seals, minimising wear and making maintenance easy. An oil sump, level gauge and inspection cover are included as standard for extra control and safety.

Landustrie received the order for the conversion and renovation of the screw pumping stations at the Warburg and Daseburg sewage treatment plants from Stadt Warburg (D) at the end of 2022. At the Warburg WWTP, located in the Diemel Valley, the existing intermediate pumping station was equipped with three new Landy augers.

Landustrie renovated the inlet pumping station of the Hildesheim sewage treatment plant in Germany. Two new LANDY augers with a prefab trough were installed here. Of the screw pumps in this pumping station, one screw must be ready for operation at all times. A quick conversion was possible because the selected semi-packaged trough has a very short installation time. The newly delivered augers have a diameter of 2.6 m and a length of 13 m.

At RWZI Kalundborg, on the northwest coast of the Danish Seeland, Landust supplied three new Landy screw pumps, fitted with a steel prefab trough.
