Fish-friendly jacks to Canada

Landustrie supplied two screw pumps for the high-water pumping station in Harrison Hot Springs (Fraser Valley, Canada). These replace the existing screw pumps and meet stricter environmental and fish safety requirements.

A key requirement of the client was that more than 90% of fish could pass the pumping station undamaged. Especially for this project, Landustrie developed a unique fish-friendly shoring that prevents damage at the inlet of the screw pump.

What we delivered

For this project in Canada, we supplied two new Landustrie augers with a fish-friendly design. This design includes a special band around the outside diameter of the auger. This prevents damage to fish at the auger inlet, where paddle and trough meet.

Both augers are equipped with an environmentally friendly ECO lower bearing. Grease lubrication takes place in this bearing
place with an oil bath system, where contact
between lubricant and water is prevented.
