Landustrie wins frontrunner award

Leader project Municipality of Weststellingwerf

After participating in the Koploper project in the Municipality of Weststellingwerf, Landustrie emerged as the winner.

In the Koploper project, companies are screened for sustainability.
A Koploper project lasts about a year and concludes with a Koploper symposium. There, the Koplopers present their results and inspire other companies. The participant who has best completed the CSR homework assignment wins the Koploper prize!

According to the jury report Landustrie has prepared a comprehensive and transparent CSR report covering all topics. With its own products, Landustrie contributes to more sustainable water management in the world. Many steps are also taken in its business operations to become more sustainable, on both the people and planet sides, and the profit for the company also receives sufficient attention.

On Wednesday 29 June 2016, the award was presented to KAM Manager, Pieter Jorna. This prize consists of a cheque for an apple tree of an old variety, to be planted in Landustrie's garden in the next planting season.

Renovation of Tjuchem screw pumping station

Commissioned by the Hunze en Aa's Water Board, Landustrie is carrying out the overhaul of the Wold en Weer pumping station in Tjuchem. The more than 40-year-old screw pump, delivered at the time by third parties, is now being repaired in Sneek. Earlier, Landustrie also repaired the other screw pump (2 in total).

Three hundred mini-grids renovated

On Thursday 9 November 2020, the renovated 300 mini pumping stations commissioned by the Municipality of Leusden went into operation. Working closely with social employment service Amfors Groep, Landustrie renovated the controls of these mini pumping stations in the municipality. On the basis of demo cabinets supplied by Landustrie, Amfors' metal company (Metafors) realised the switchboxes and the corresponding outdoor installation cabinets. Old switchboxes were dismantled by them and carefully separated, checked and recycled where possible. The proceeds from the recycling were donated to KiKa.

Hydroelectric power station opening

Last Saturday, the Netherlands' first cooperative hydropower plant was festively opened. Amid great interest, the children's mayor and the youth water digger activated the hydropower auger. After the official part, there was an open house for all interested parties. A special Dommelstroom app was developed for the plant, which provides real-time insight into energy production.

Old pump in new look

n order of KWS Infra, Landustrie Sneek bv supplies ten pumps for a new business park in North Holland. Six submersible pumps with Vortex impellers ensure that all condensation water is drained into the sewage system. Four new screw pumps of type P400 (3 + 1 spare) will also be installed in the HWA pumping station. These pumps discharge the rainwater into the surface water.

Hoorn pumping stations ready for future

Commissioned by the Municipality of Hoorn, Landustrie has started renovating six sewerage pumping stations. The new pumping stations will meet the requirements of Hoogheemraadschap Hollands Noorderkwartier. The higher water board is taking over the entire management and maintenance of these pumping stations from the municipality.

New pump series tested

The new range of dry-mounted pumps with cutting device has been tested. These are the pump types BSP 22-05 and BSP 22-08. The test results are positive and the pump efficiency is equal to the renowned submersible pump, also known as the Wetterfretter (DSP type). These pumps with cutting device cut the solids in the wastewater into small particles, which are then pumped through the pipework (dia. 32 mm) without any problems.

Major hydro project in Alsace

The existing Steinsau weir on the River Ill near Erstein is being fitted with six pieces of LANDY hydropower jacks. The weir dates from the late 19th century and ensures that the downstream regions of Erstein and Strasbourg are not flooded during high water. Part of the restoration and renovation of the weir is the installation of screw turbines to generate renewable energy.

In honour of the British Queen's 65th anniversary, the BBC is paying special attention to Windsor Castle. The broadcast of Countryfile's Royal Special features, among other things, the hydropower jacks, as supplied at the time by Landustrie.
