Kalundborg WWTP, DK
At RWZI Kalundborg, on the northwest coast of the Danish Seeland, we supplied three new Landustrie augers, fitted with a steel prefab trough. The existing intermediate pumping station at the treatment plant here needed to be renovated to meet the higher capacity and head requirements in the future. The modification also resulted in higher efficiency.
The augers are 1150 mm in diameter, with a capacity of 1067 m3/hour each (in combination 3200 m3/hour). Characteristic of this type of auger in prefabricated execution, the drive is fully integrated in the steel trough. This significantly simplifies assembly/disassembly and speeds up installation time. Each auger is further equipped with an aluminium cover and with a Landy EKO bearing. These eco-friendly lower bearings require little to no maintenance and are 3D self-aligning.
We had supervision during the installation works, here carried out by our Danish partner Watergroup. Important factor during the installation was the fact, that the WWTP had to remain operational.
