Through ACE Aquatic Control Engineering, our longstanding representative in the UK for weed screen cleaning equipment, Landustrie supplied 3 no. Landy automatic trash raking screens for Mill Fleam Pumping Station. These back-raking screens are located on the pumping station intake to prevent debris from damaging or clogging the pumps. Mill Fleam PS is one of Derby City Council’s MUNIO projects to reduce flood risk and enhance defined areas of existing habitat, actively promoting and improving biodiversity in various locations along Derby’s west riverbank stretching from Darley Abbey to Alvaston Park.

The Landy back-raking screens dimension 2560×4350 mm, made of galvanised steel and include direct-driven drive units and electrotechnical equipment. This type of weed screen cleaner is featured by a quick and easy installation and requires almost no maintenance. The three automated screens were also witness tested in the facilities at Landustrie in Sneek (NL).

On site in Derby, ACE is responsible for the project management and installation of the units.
