In the main sewage pumping station Groningen Water Board and Landustrie signed the agreement to renovate nine pumping stations on Wednesday 7 December 2016. The sizeable order of more than one million euros includes not only carrying out the renovation work, but also a three-year management and maintenance plan is part of the order.

"For Landustrie, this is a wonderful project to carry out," says project manager Sjoerd Stelwagen. "Especially since the tender took place according to "Best Value Procurement" (BVP). This confirms to us, that we have the knowledge and expertise to execute such a project properly from start to finish.
Best Value Procurement is a procurement methodology in which participating market parties are valued according to the principle of obtaining the most value for the lowest price within a project. With this method, parties are selected that have the knowledge and expertise to achieve this.

Landustrie will have full responsibility for the entire realisation in this Groningen project. It involves the Altena, Nieuw Roden, Leermens, Oosterwijtwerd, Westeremden, Ulrum, Saaksum, Garnwerd and DOMO-Bedum pumping stations.
