Flexible aeration solution for water board
We supplied brush aerators, also known as aeration towers, for two sewage treatment plants of the Brabantse Delta Water Board. Unique here is the design of the aerators.
At times when extra aeration is needed, the oxygen input can be increased and adjusted relatively easily with the floating aeration rotors. For Waterschap Brabantse Delta, this is the solution to achieve sufficient oxygen input during the busy tourist season, for example.

What we delivered
For RWZI Chaam and RWZI Lage Zwaluwe, we supplied three Landustrie brush aerators. One is used in Lage Zwaluwe and the other two in Chaam. A unique feature here is the design of the aerators. Normally, the brushes are fixed between the walls of an aeration basin. Now, however, a special floating construction has been used. This makes it possible to deploy the aerators in the existing bypass ditches alongside already existing point aerators.
Our team of engineers ensured that the aerators were expertly installed and commissioned. Prior to installation, the situation on site had already been measured and assessed in the presence of one of our engineers.
Why this solution?
- Rapid supplemental oxygenation
- Easily deployable
- Energy-efficient
- Low maintenance
- Motor gearbox easily accessible for maintenance
- Equipped with splash guard
