Windsor Castle weir (UK)
Two Landustrie hydropower screws at the Romney weir, in the River Thames, generate power for both the royal palace and 400 local households. The screws have a diameter of 4 metres and a length of 6 metres. A unique feature of the screws is their 5-flight design where normally a screw would have 2 or 3 flights. As the hydropower screws are fish-friendly, fish migration remains possible.
