Brush aerators Brabantse Delta (NL)

We supplied brush aerators, also known as aeration rotors, for two sewage treatment plants of the Brabantse Delta Water Board. What is unique here is the design of the aerators. Normally, the brush aerators are permanently mounted between the walls of an aeration basin. Now, however, a special floating construction has been used. This makes it possible to deploy the aerators in the existing bypass ditches at, in this case WWTP Chaam and WWTP Lage Zwaluwe, in addition to already existing point aerators. At times when extra aeration is needed, the oxygen input can be increased and adjusted relatively easily with the floating aeration rotors. For Waterschap Brabantse Delta, this is a solution during the busy tourist season.
Before the new design was applied in practice, the unit was extensively tested at the Sneek production site.
