Next to the waterfall in the Penllergare Valley Woods Nature Reserve(near Swansea, Wales), a Landustrie hydropower auger has been installed. The auger has a length of 11 metres and generates energy for the visitor centre in the area. Excess energy is offered to the grid. With this hydropower installation, the foundation expects to earn about £10,000 annually. The auger is obviously fish-friendly
