Next to the waterfall in the Penllergare Valley Woods Nature Reserve(near Swansea, Wales), a Landustrie hydropower screw turbine has been installed. The screw has a length of 11 metres and generates energy for the visitor centre in the area. Excess energy is offered to the grid. With this hydropower scheme, the foundation expects to earn about £10,000 annually. The hydropower screw is obviously fish-friendly
