Landustrie Sneekermeer 1

Steinsau weir, Alsace (FRA)

The existing Steinsau weir on the River Ill near Erstein (Alsace, France) is equipped with six LANDY hydropower weirs. The weir dates from the late 19th century and ensures that the downstream regions of Erstein and Strasbourg do not flood at high tide. Part of the restoration and renovation of the weir was the installation of screw turbines to generate renewable energy.

Weir Dommel (NL)

In spring 2016, construction started on the new hydropower plant in river Dommel near Sint-Michielsgestel (North Brabant). On 13 September 2016, the existing weir in the river was fitted with a Landustrie hydropower screw turbine that will generate renewable energy for about 200 households as a power generator.

In the French river l'Eure, the 2-metre drop is used to generate about 1.5 GWh of renewable electricity annually with the help of two hydropower jacks. The jacks, manufactured and supplied by Landustrie, are 3.8 metres in diameter and can handle 7.45 m3 of water per second.

In Totnes, Devon, an existing weir has been fitted with two Landustrie hydropower jacks. Both jacks can generate renewable energy for about 400 households. The jacks are 3.7 metres in diameter.

In the River Ouse near Linton Lock (North Yorkshire), the LANDY hydropower auger provides 110kW of green power. The auger has a diameter of 3 metres and a length of 8.5 metres. A characteristic feature of the auger is its compact design with self-supporting trough.

n Hirschthal, Switzerland, a LANDY hydropower screw has been installed next to an existing bellows weir (gradient here is 3.5 m). The auger generates renewable energy for about 100 households, with excess power being fed back into the grid.

Windsor Castle weir (UK)

Two Landy hydropower jacks at the Romney weir, in the River Thames, generate power for both the royal palace and 400 local households. The jacks are 4 metres in diameter and 6 metres long. A unique feature of the jacks is their 5-passage design where normally a jack-up would have 2 or 3 passages. As the augers are fish-friendly, fish migration remains possible.

Warburg WWTP

Landustrie received the order for the conversion and renovation of the screw pumping stations at the Warburg and Daseburg sewage treatment plants from Stadt Warburg (D) at the end of 2022. At the Warburg WWTP, located in the Diemel Valley, the existing intermediate pumping station was equipped with three new Landy augers.

Next to the waterfall in the Penllergare Valley Woods Nature Reserve(near Swansea, Wales), a Landustrie hydropower auger has been installed. The auger has a length of 11 metres and generates energy for the visitor centre in the area.

Landustrie supplied a total of nine (9) grate cleaners - type R71 - for various pumping stations of the Bogota Water Authority in Colombia. The plants are located in Fontibon, Gibraltar, La Isla, Salitre, San Benito and Villa Gladis. All LANDY grate cleaners are supplied with complete controls

Together with its Tunisian representative EMC Entreprise Mongi Charabi, Landustrie supplied 5 LANDY grate cleaners with controls. Under Landustrie's supervision, the installations were assembled and commissioned for main contractor SOCOOPEC.

Landustrie supplied two LANDY augers for the high-water pumping station at Harrison Hot Springs, Fraser Valley, Canada. The jacks replaced the existing pumps and had to meet higher environmental requirements and fish-friendliness (more than 90% of fish must pass through the pumping station undamaged)
