In the River Ouse near Linton Lock (North Yorkshire), the Landustrie hydropower screw provides 110kW of green power. The auger has a diameter of 3 metres and a length of 8.5 metres. Characteristic of the screw pump is its compact design with self-supporting trough.
The hydropower plant was expanded with a second auger in 2017. With an auger diameter of 5 metres, this is the largest auger ever manufactured. Because of its size, transport therefore had to take place by water from our quay in Sneek.
