Landustrie, together with its Tunisian representative EMC Entreprise Mongi Charabi, supplied 5 no. of LANDY weed screen cleaners with electrotechnical equipment, and also supervised the commissioning and start-up on site, in hard conditions with COVID-19.
SOCOOPEC, being lead contractor was in charge of the installation of the Landustrie provided equipment. Two screen cleaner units have been installed at the Bejaoua pumping station and the other 3 screen cleaner units at different locations along the canal at the regulating valves.
The Bejaoua Pumping Station is located in the 120 km long Medjerda-Cap Bon canal, Tunesia (north-east). The canal water is used for irrigation purposes and also processed into drinking water. The project aims to modernize the infrastructure and respond to the growing needs of drinking and irrigation water in rural areas in the northeast of the country.
The main contractor SOCOOPEC and the end client, the Ministry of Agriculture, Water Resources and Fisheries (DG/BGTH) specifically expressed its satisfaction with the mission carried out by Landustrie.
Following this project, another two Landy screen cleaners will be supplied for the Foundouk Jedid pumping station, also located in the MCB canal.
