winner Global Water Awards 2022

We are very proud, that the RecoLab project in the Oceanhamnen district of Helsingborg (Sweden) received the Global Water Awards 2022 in the "Wastewater Project of the Year" category! Landustrie delivered a new sustainable decentralised wastewater treatment plant (2300IE), based on Desah BV's innovative design. The design for this applied sanitation system won DeSaH in 2015 the Swedish innovation prize in the "Blackwater and Food Waste Challenge" in the "Purification Plant" category, aimed at recycling waste streams.

In the Oceanhamnen residential area, grey and black wastewater from homes and buildings is collected and treated separately. The kitchens are also equipped with a grinder for processing food waste. The emphasis is entirely on recovering valuable raw materials such as fertilisers and biogas as well as heat recovery. The main criterion for the nomination was therefore "greatest innovation in footprint optimisation".
