Noardling will be present with a stand at the 58. Essener Tagung at the Eurogress in Aachen. This will take place from 26 to 28 March. Here we will not only tell Noardling's story, but also focus on our Landustrie Archimedes screw pumps and surface aerators.

Our screw pumps are also widely used in flood pumping stations. The picture shows the pumping station in Lingen, where four screw pumps ensure that the surrounding area is not flooded during high water.

Landustrie's renowned dirt cutting Wetterfretter pumps are now also available in a compact and lightweight version. By adapting the pump and motor housing, a compact pump has been realised with a weight of only 35 kg. In case of inspection or maintenance, the pump can easily be lifted by hand. Especially at mini pumping stations where no lifting facility is available, this pump offers a solution.

Major hydro project in Alsace

The existing Steinsau weir on the River Ill near Erstein is being fitted with six pieces of LANDY hydropower jacks. The weir dates from the late 19th century and ensures that the downstream regions of Erstein and Strasbourg are not flooded during high water. Part of the restoration and renovation of the weir is the installation of screw turbines to generate renewable energy.

Renovation of Piet Oberman polder pumping station

Commissioned by the Zuiderzeeland Water Board, Landustrie is renovating the Piet Oberman polder pumping station in Tollebeek. The open screw pump dating from the 1970s will be fitted with new parts and converted from a grease-lubricated to a water-lubricated pump. The non-return valves and control box will also be renewed.

Almost a year after signing the contract, work is now being completed on the last of the nine pumping stations. The sewerage pumping station at Bedum will be fitted with new pumps with associated pipework and controls.

After participating in the Koploper project in the Municipality of Weststellingwerf, Landustrie emerged as the winner. In the Koploper project, companies are screened for sustainability. A Koploper project lasts about a year and is concluded with a Koploper symposium. There, the Koplopers present their results and inspire other companies. At this year's Aqua Netherlands trade fair, we will be exhibiting for the first time as Noardling! Here, we will not only tell the story behind Noardling, but also inform you about our brands, namely Landustrie, Hubert and Desah. By combining the strengths of three renowned names, we can serve the entire water market even faster and more efficiently.

We take you through the water cycle in which all our solutions and products are present.

Special attention is paid to Desah decentralised wastewater treatment technology, which not only focuses on source-separated wastewater treatment, but also shows solutions for containerised, mobile wastewater treatment as well as blackwater treatment.

We also showcase our innovative water filtration there. For example, the Hubert drum filter offers an advanced water purification solution that meets the highest standards. With a microscreen of only 10 microns, this microfilter provides exceptional filtration capacity, removing even the smallest particles from the water.

From 2025, Landustrie, Hubert Stavoren and Desah will continue together under the new company name Noardling. However, the three renowned company names will not disappear from the picture; they will continue as brand names under Noardling.

With the convergence of more than 250 years of experience, Noardling has all the clout to provide sustainable, reliable products and solutions in the field of water technology.At Noardling, we build on a rich history that dates back to 1880. It began with the establishment of machine factory Hubert & Co. by Bolswar pioneer Wopke Hubert and Groningen adventurer Wessel Nieveen. What started with the production of steam boilers and polder pumping stations grew into a focus on wastewater treatment and water treatment.
In 1913, Landustrie founded by Hiltjo Wiert Bos. The company played a key role in polder drainage and grew into a global player in wastewater treatment after World War II. Worth mentioning is the construction of the world's largest screw pump in 2017.
In 2005, Desah founded, a young company focused on sustainable and circular wastewater treatment. Demonstration projects in Sneek laid the foundation for international recognition, with awards such as the Global Water Award in 2022.

Together, Hubert, Landustrie and Desah bring together more than 250 years of experience and expertise in Noardling. With a strong focus on innovation and collaboration, we continue to build sustainable solutions to the water challenges of the future.

Landustrie Sneek BV, Hubert Stavoren BV and Desah BV will continue jointly from Sneek. The Landustrie business premises, on Pieter Zeemanstraat, where Desah is also housed, will soon be expanded to include the staff and equipment of Hubert from Stavoren. Joining forces at one location will enable us to serve the entire water market even faster and more efficiently.

All three companies have one important common denominator - WATER! Both Landustrie and Hubert have been supplying (waste) water treatment products for over 100 years. Desah, founded in 2004, plays an important role in developing technology for sustainable and circular waste water treatment. As already applied in the residential area Noorderhoek in Sneek, for example.

Two new Landy screw pumps in production. The Passaic Valley treatment plant is one of the largest and most modern wastewater treatment plants in the eastern United States.

The existing augers, supplied by third parties at the time, date from the late 1980s and are now due for replacement. Because of the enormous size of the screw pumps, namely a diameter of 3.8 m and a length of 18 m, all dimensions were carefully recorded on site by our engineers so that the best possible screw pump design could be made, also using the Finite Element Method (EEM).

After production, both augers will be transported from Sneek to the US together with all associated equipment such as special stainless steel auger troughs, lower and upper bearings. The lower bearings here are environmentally friendly and low-maintenance ECO bearings, which are fitted with a water-in-oil detection system. This system informs about the water tightness of the bearing.

Landustrie obtained the contract through its US partner, EPIC International, Inc.

Landy pumps keep subways N359 dry

Commissioned by the province of Fryslân, BAM Infra is building three new subways in the N359, the provincial road between Leeuwarden and Lemmer. There will be three flyovers at Bolsward-Noord, Burgwerd and Wommels-Noord. The pumping installations in the water basements of these three subways will be fitted with LANDY underwater pumps. Landustrie will also supply the associated piping and electrical controls. The Landustrie pumps of the DWP type selected here are submersible pumps with a Vortex impeller. This impeller type minimises the risk of clogging and also makes the pump less sensitive to wear. The Landy pumps, as well as the controls, are designed and produced entirely in-house, at the Sneek location.

Landustrie previously realised similar pump installations in route De Haak around Leeuwarden and the Centrale As (N356).

The subways in the N359 are scheduled to be completed by mid-2024. BAM's objective is to build this project as sustainably and circularly as possible.

Between 3 and 26 July 2023, exit 22 Sneek-Oost (from Joure) and ramp Sneek-Oost (towards Bolsward) on the A7 will be closed.
This slip road will connect to Oppenhuizerweg/N354 roundabout. The roundabout will be completely closed during the work.
