Chain cleaners for Derby, UK

Via ACE Aquatic Control Engineering, our regular UK representation for Landy krooshek cleaners, Landustrie received the order to supply 3 chain cleaners. These fully-automatic duckweed fence cleaners are placed before the inlet of the Mill Fleam pumping station. This will prevent floating debris from flowing through the inlet and damaging the pumps. The Mill Fleam pumping station is a MUNIO project by Derby City Council, designed to prevent flooding of the surrounding area while maintaining and enhancing existing habitat and biodiversity. It is taking place at several locations along the western riverbank, stretching from Darley Abbey to Alvaston Park.

The Landy chain cleaner (size 2560×4350 mm) is made of galvanised steel and comes complete with controls. Advantages of this type of cleaner are its quick and easy installation and the fact that it is virtually maintenance-free. All three units were tested beforehand in Sneek in the presence of the customer.

On site in Derby, ACE is responsible for the realisation and installation of the project.
