High-water pumping station Lingen (D)
The jacks are intended to protect Lingen, especially the Reuschberge district, from flooding.
These LANDY auger pumps (4 pieces with a length of 9 metres) can each pump 14400 m3/h and are only used during floods.
If necessary, the augers pump water from the Lingener Mühlenbach into the Ems in order to avoid exceeding the maximum permissible water level.
