Windsor Castle weir (UK)
Two Landustrie hydropower jacks at the Romney weir, in the River Thames, generate power for both the royal palace and 400 local households. The jacks have a diameter of 4 metres and a length of 6 metres. A unique feature of the jacks is their 5-passage design where normally a jack-up would have 2 or 3 passages. As the augers are fish-friendly, fish migration remains possible.
